Default 50 Or 60 # Limbs For Hoyt Pro Elite

Gonna order a Pro Elite. 50 or 60 # limbs? Gonna shoot it at around 50 #'s.
Kind of concerned about resale and how easy it would be to get rid of with 50 # limbs. This will be an indoor bow. Any help?

Me personally I would order a 50-60. Most guys I know that shoot indoors usually only shoot around 50. Its more of what you are comfortable with though. Good luck and be sure to post us some pics when you get her all set up.

    Default 2000 or 3000 limbs?

I would think that even with 50# limbs a bow like the ProElite would resale good. Its a great bow, one of the best target bows available.

Would I get enough speed for field shoots in the summer with the 50#er's?

Absolutely you'll have enough speed for field shooting. Those targets are at known distances so the target doesn't care how long the arrow takes to get there. For indoors the answer is the same.

If you're going to shoot 50# then get 50# limbs. All things being equal the bow will be just a tad more efficient and more quiet.

Stating more about the speed. It's easy to get speed. You shoota lighter arrow than you would with a heavier bow. Therefore it doesn't matter whether you shoot 50# or 70#. The speeds will be very comparable.

I think I remember about 30 years ago when I shot field. Fast bows shot about 22 fps. I had an extremely fast one at 232 fps. 51# shooting X7 1614's.
