Morgan County, AL Benefit Shoot Aug. 14-15, 2010
Morgan County BHA chapter will be holding a benefit shoot August 14-15, 2011 for Sadie Long. Sadie is the 5 year old daughter of Terry and Karen Long of Moulton. Terry graduated from Brewer in 1987 and Karen from Moulton in 1992. Sadie has been diagnosed with leukemia and is at Birmingham Childrens Hospital undergoing chemotheraphy. I was fortunate to have grown up and graduated with Terry. Terry is the type of person that once you meet him you will want to be around him. Terry and Karen live for their children and I can only imagine the weight that they are carrying during this period. All proceeds with be given to the family.
This is a standard 20 3-D target course. The shoot is casual start beginning at 7 am and last card out around 4:00 pm both days. Every type of archery equipment is legal including crossbows. This shoot is for charity, but awards will be given in all classes. All we ask is that you're not offended that someone in your class is shooting 350 feet per second and you're only shooting 280. Remember we've advertised this and many people will be coming to support that are not affiliated with BHA or ASA and do not know our speed restrictions. We will have a team shoot Sunday afternoon if you would like to participate. Usually the team shoot is a money payback, but in this instance it will be only for bragging rights. We will try to have novelty shoots for money or prizes. The fee is $15 but we will accept anything that you can afford.
