i just got a trail cam and was wondering about the best way to set it up at a feeder. like how high off the ground and how far away from it. any info would be great.

My Moultree has a infr red beam to set camera heigth. I can set the camera on aim and walk over and see the beam heigth. Usually no more than three or four ft. high.
This camera taking these pictures is higher due to tall grass. Maybe 4'
