Default Presley's Midwest Open, Dec. 4 & 5 Bartonville, IL

    2010 Presley's Midwest Open Tournament
The 2010 Presley’s Midwest Open Archery Tournament is scheduled for December 4 & 5, 2010

Go to the following link to see and/or print out the Presley’s Midwest Open Archery Tournament Flyer, and view the 2009 Results, Listing of 2009 sponsors, and the results of the 2008 and 2007 events.

    http://www.presleysoutdoors.com/

Here are some important details concerning this year’s tournament:
    1. There are no shooting lines on FRIDAY, Dec. 3, 2010. Presley’s will be open for practice, first come, first served, from Noon until 8PM on Friday. There is a $5 fee payable at the archery counter when you pick up your target.
    2. We have changed the shooting line times on SATURDAY:: Those shooting line times are:
Saturday 8:00 AM Saturday 11:00 AM Saturday 2:00 PM Saturday 5:00 PM
    3. IMPORTANT: In order to be eligible for EARLY REGISTRATION, each early-registrant MUST meet one of the following criteria:
    a. The registrant must have participated (shot) in the 2009 tournament. OR
    b. The registrant must have cancelled their time slot prior to the November 27 deadline AND requested that Presley’s keep their registration fee in order that they maintain their priority for 2010. (Persons canceling after the Nov. 27 deadline, or any no shows are NOT eligible for early registration in 2010)
There will be NO EXCEPTIONS to the above criteria. If a person that does not meet either of the above criteria and attempts to register, they will not receive a line time and will have to start the registration process over again AFTER October 15. (There are no waiting lists).
Regular Registration will be open for all on October 16, 2010.
Also as a reminder during the registration process:
    • Be sure to use your e-mail address and password that you used last year for registration.
    • If you have a new e-mail address, then you will need to create a new account and establish a password for that account.
    • Be certain to purchase BOTH your SATURDAY line time AND your Shooting Division. Failure to purchase BOTH will delay your registration and necessitate either a phone call or e-mail to get the correct information into the registration data base!
    • IF YOU ARE REGISTERING MORE THAN ONE PERSON ON AN INVOICE, INCLUDE THE FIRST AND LAST NAME OF THE OTHER PERSON(S) AND INCLUDE THE SHOOTING CLASS THEY ARE REGISTERING FOR.
    • If you prefer to call in to register, please contact Jake Payton (309)697-1193) between 8AM and 4PM CST, Monday Through Friday. The first few weeks are pretty intense, so be patient, and Jake will be with you as soon as possible.
    4. The CUBS can only register for the SATURDAY 8:00 AM and the Saturday 5:00 PM shooting line. CUBS will also, as in the past, shoot the SUNDAY 7:00 AM shooting line.
    5. The Presley’s range will be open for practice, first come, first served, from Noon until 8PM on Friday Dec. 3, 2010. There is a $5 fee payable at the archery counter when you pick up your target.
    6. NOTE: Other than the two official practice ends given just prior to the scoring rounds there will NOT be any practicing on the range before the normal lines on either Saturday or Sunday.
    7. We will, if registration goes as anticipated, be shooting the 2:30PM on Sunday.
    8. The UPPER Championship shooters (those that most likely will finish ‘in the money’) will shoot at NOON on Sunday, just as they have in the past.
    9. Tentatively, The UPPER Trophy shooters for each style will shoot at 2:30PM on Sunday.
    10. The other two line times will be filled by grouping competitors with their closest competition and by trying not to break up shooting styles, if at all possible.
    11. The Door Prizes Drawing will be conducted after the 5:00 PM has started. This will be a “silent drawing.” The winners will be listed and can pick up their door prizes when they sign in to shoot on Sunday.

    • Shooting rules will be the same as last year. NFAA shooting equipment rules will prevail.
    • The overall awards for highest score Male & Female in both Championship and Trophy Divisions will be continued again. Any shooting style can win this Overall Award simply by shooting the highest score. This means that a CUB or anyone else is eligible for the award.

    • We are hoping that the Championship Purse will be higher than last year’s purse. However, we are unable to guarantee what that purse will be, nor will we know for sure the final amount until Sunday morning, Dec. 5, 2010. Of course all of the $50 portion of the registration fee will go to the shooter’s respective shooting style. Division of the entire purse is, once again, by percentage participation for each shooting style. For example, if 85% of the total shooters are in the Female Freestyle, then 85% of the total “contributed” portion of the purse will go to Female Freestyle.

    Field 14 (Tom D.)
Just let it float and SHOOT THE SHOT!

Default Pickins are gettin' slimmer by the hour....

There is now ONE...that's right folks, ONE open slot left on the Saturday 11:00 AM Shooting lane, and only 13 left on the 5:00 PM line as of 4PM CST, 19 October, 2010

Procrastinators will have to set their alarms earlier than planned if they wanna compete in this shooting match....The "Thrill in Bartonville", ha.

The last 40 will be shooting on the Saturday 8AM shooting line, when they have the mettle to sign up, that is, haha

There is a bit of "smchmack talk" going on back and forth among some of the registrants; some posturing...but....the scores will dictate who is talking "schmack", and who is able to put their arrows where they count the most..."in the middle of the middle". ha.

Default Three line times are FULL

Update as of 4:30PM CST October 21, 2010.

The following shooting lines at the Presley's Midwest Open are FULL:

    Saturday 11:00AM is FULL
    Saturday 2:00 PM is FULL
    Saturday 5:00 PM is FULL

Saturday 8:00AM as of 4:30PM CST on October 21 has 35 slots open.

There are NO WAIT LISTS or "holdling of slots" or priority lists.

The slots can come open at any time, so best way to see if something "opens up" is to check the presleysoutdoors website.
Then, under "Saturday Line Times (MUST PURCHASE), click on the drop down box. If a line time is open, it will show up and also give you a count of how many openings there are at that time.

Remember, "FIRST TO CLICK, will GET THE PICK."

Line times are inventory controlled, so this is the most fool-proof way for us to adminster this so we lessen the chances of "overbooking".

Thanks everyone for your support of this tournament, it is obviously lining up to be one fine competition for everyone!

QUICK WAY TO FIND OUT IF THERE ARE OPENINGS ON SHOOTING LINES, and HOW MANY:

    1. Go to www.presleysoutdoors.com
    2. Scroll down to the picture that has "Register for 2010 Midwest Open" on it. Click on this picture.
    3. Click on the writing that says " Presley's Midwest Open Saturday Line times (Must Purchase)"
    4. Click on the Drop down box, and the lines with open slots on them will come up. If a line time is NOT there, then it is still full.
    5. Select the line time, give it a few seconds, and the number of open slots will be given.

It is as simple as that...if you are a "waiter" to see if things open up. Again, these slots can come open quickly, and just as quickly close. We can't possibly keep a waiting list or a priority list for those that want to change line times; it would create havoc, and somebody will get lost in that unnecessary shuffle.

Thus, if you want to see if some slots are open, follow the above procedure. It only takes a few seconds...and remember:
"THE FIRST TO CLICK WILL GET THE PICK"

As of right now, 10:30AM, CST, October 24, 2010, there are only 30 slots open on the Saturday, 8:00 AM shooting line. All other lines are FULL..

Those of you sitting on the fence trying to decide might consider registering for that 8AM Saturday shooting line ASAP, it could fill up quickly! Of course, what time you shoot in SUNDAY will depend upon how well you fare on Saturday, hahaha.

Thanks for everyone's interest and support of this tournament.

As of 10:30PM Nov. 1, 2010 there are ONLY 4 SLOTS OPEN on the Saturday 8AM Shooting line.
    ALL OTHER LINES ARE FULL.

No waiting lists; no priority listings. Check the web-site frequently during the day. Any openings that come up will be reflected on the website by selecting :

PRESLEYS MIDWEST OPEN 2010 SATURDAY LINE TIMES (MUST PURCHASE)
IF there are openings, the line time will show. Click on that line time and give it a second or two. It will then show how many openings are available at that moment.

FIRST CLICK WILL GET THE PICK.

PLEASE DO NOT TRY TO CHANGE LINE TIMES ON A WHIM....this will make things difficult on everyone and could preclude allowing other shooters to get into the tournament. We really want to avoid playing "Musical line times", ha.
In addition, it can cause all sorts of chaos and increases the risk of getting people lost in the shuffle.

Thanks for everyone's interest and support of this tournament.

Default List of Registrants as of 10:00 AM, CST, Nov. 5, 2010

The latest List of Registrants, as of Nov. 5, 10:00AM CST is posted on the Presley's Outdoors Web-site

    www.presleysoutdoors.com

At this time, ALL SHOOTING LINES ARE FULL.

However, slots can, and likely will, open up due to Cancellations.

We do not have any "waiting lists" or priority lists, but you can check the web-site for openings in only a few seconds:

We are also asking that those that are already in the tournament and have a line time to not go in and try to change their line time on a whim.

Please allow others that aren't into the tournament an opportunity to join us.

REMEMBER: FIRST CLICK WILL GET THE PICK!

Here is a QUICK WAY TO FIND OUT IF THERE ARE OPENINGS ON SHOOTING LINES, and HOW MANY:

    1. Go to www.presleysoutdoors.com
    2. Scroll down to the picture that has "Register for 2010 Midwest Open" on it. Click on this picture.

There is a new List of Registrants posted on the Presley's Outdoors web-site as of 9AM, CST, Nov.22, 2010.

However, the Saturday 8AM line time is already taken...by..."First to Click, Gets the Pick".

Thus, once again ALL the Saturday shooting lines are full.

KEEP CHECKING THE PRESLEY'S WEB-SITE DURING THE DAY, however, since those openings can crop up quickly.

Since the lines have been full to capacity and the only way to get in is as a result of a cancellation, there will NOT be a fee chared for "Late Registration".

However, be advised that any/all cancellations after Nov. 27 will NOT receive a refund.

Thanks for everyone's great support and interest in this tournament.
