    Default Treestand

Bigboy stood 20ft right from this spot and scented me from the tree

My view watching him scent me

Where he stopped to take a look back at the tree 32yrds. Big mistake

Tree does a view. I learned about this tree from watching from this hillside. Never under estimate thickets and open field. Im hunting the only tree in the middle of an open field. Atleast untell the leaves fall off.

I think we got a good lease and members never leave. For my area these deer are GQDM. Are deer average 3.5 yrs old before harvest and we pull ever deer jaw and wildlife dept surveys them for us. Everyone has an opionion but fact is not ever deer gets large at age 6 or 5.

    Prime example.

    Both harvested this year.

Deer on left is 6.5 and deer on right is 5.5yrs old.

Feel free to post you QDM pictures.

I am so happy for you Dan! I know how hard you have worked your tail off for that dude and it has paid off! That is too awesome! I am sure you are still sky high after last night. hahahahaha. He's a dandy and you most defininantly deserved it! It is nice when a well laid plan all comes together.

Had this big boy on my mind sense the first time you and I spot lighted him during the deer counts back this summer. Who would have thought it would happen. Not the first time I have chase a big boy and not achieve success. Many times over the years. Last year I chase and pursued a big tall ten pointer and only came close once. Deer hunting is alot about getting lucky and I will always believe this. Somtimes it just all works out if you get in the stand enough. Looking forward to putting to some does in the freezer now.
We know there was another good buck no one has seen in that bunch as well.

Now I just the bucks with the camera the rest of the season. Maybe a spot a big boy for some fellow lease members.

Diffiantly a good year. Heck I bet I have not shot more than four bucks my entire life in Oct.
