    Default Hunter turned tournament

I have been hunting the past few years with a bow enjoy but have started to enjoy the sport of the practice and just shooting so I want to start shooting 3d and possibly a tournament if I can master this but I know what you would look for in a hunting bow but what do you need to have in a target bow is it speed or size or weight just not sure what I need to be looking for or at in a tournament bow any help would be great

I like a longer A to A bow. For 3D i use a Mathews Monster 7.0 . For field, the mathews Conquest 4 or the Hoyt Vantage elite.

hey man i know that a lot of people say you have to use a specific bow for a specific purpose but there are bows out there that will accomplish different tasks. go with what you feel comfortable to shoot. go and shoot as many bows as you can at your pro shop. you are the only one that is going to use the bow so you are the only one that needs to like it.

No need for new gear, you dont shoot that many arrows at a 3D shoot anyway, and it can never hurt to be more acustomed to your hunting bow.

I agree with Elkslayer. My hunting rig is now my 3D rig and I would'nt have it any other way.You just get better for hunting season . My bow is Short, lite and fast. I'll change it up again for October.

Good point, and why spend $ if you don't need to!

On the flip side, how many arrows a year do you shoot at a deer?
Point being, shoot what you shoot good, no matter what the target is.
You've heard the old saying beware of the man with one gun? Same with bows.
