    Default how/why are the bowtech center pivot bows so quiet? (been pondering a lot)

    first off, PLEASE, lets NOT let this topic go down the road of speed. i know some are going to say "because they are slower than many, and i have shot bows that are a good bit slower than the center pivot and they were louder sounding than say a general or guardian, admiral, ect.. i couldnt give a rats rip about speed. if i can get 250-260fps, I am fine (and i have a 30" draw length)

    anywho, as i was stating, what on earth makes them so quiet.. they are no different than many other bows.. they have an arm extending up to the limb about half way on it.. but besides that.. there is no real difference. other bows have longer/extended limb pockets on them, and they are a little louder than the center pivot bows (not by much) so obviously there is something i have overlooked or dont realize here.

    all bowtech center pivot bows are quiet cause they have the center am that goes to the center of the limb so that the limb cannot travel as much so it wont produce so much viberation

    i wondered if that had something to do with it.. or maybe a lot.. just couldnt figure exactly how.

    that is what i figured too. I love the guardians. My favorite bow of all time.

    i have to say that bowtech has that center pivot thing figured out. and yes the guardian is a sweet shooting bow.

    Take an arrow shaft and hold it by the tip end on a table, and push down on the nock end and let it got and see how it vibrates. Now take the same arrow, hold it halfway down the shaft and do the same thing. Thats what center pivot does to quiet the bow and cut down vibration. Thats the best way I can describe it.

    I think the Bowtech center pivot bows are OK but I like the Maitland center pivot bows even better.
    OK Archery Renegade 8.
    The best bow nobody knows !
