    Default Hoyt Maxxis 31

    looking to get into hunting and have been looking at the hoyt maxxis 31 for my first bow our the matthews z7 going to a pro shop next weekend to test them out any input would help i am 5'9 165 pounds

    Both are excellent bows, shoot a bunch before you buy one.

    both are good bows but the z7 has a rough draw and is very short and heavy, the maxxis 31 is very short i wold go with a 35 over the 31, check out the new hoyt crx 35 it is a very nice bow, also look at the new bear bows, i have the truth 2 darkhorse i love it, it extremely smooth, and decently fast, the other night i shot a 180 pound doe at 40 yards with it and the arrow continued 20 yards before hitting the ground after going through her, at a 65 pound draw. i have shot a lot of brands of bows and i love my bear. but you cant go wrong woth hoyt or mathews
