    Default shaft length

For 3d shooting, how far past the rest (at full draw) should the end of the shaft be, what is the shortest acceptable or what is highly recommended???

    Thanks

As long as the shaft is still on the rest I think it's what tunes best for you. If it wore broadheads I'd suggest you get it in front away from your fingers.

That's what I'd have said, too. So long as the arrow does not pull off the rest when you draw and anchor it's long enough. That being said I like to keep mine at least an inch past the rest just to give me some room to play with the bow's draw length. A little long can never hurt and 1/4" to 1/2" extra isn't enough to upset the spine of the arrow so much as to throw off the tune should you change the bow's draw length or go to a slightly different weight point.

Personally I like a minimum of 1/2 inch past the rest although mostly I shoot 1 inch plus past the rest.

i would think that youre arrow should be wherever it tunes the best. wheather its 1" or 2" past the riser. just whatever works the best
