.018 center serving
Anyone have problems with the factory center serving being tight on their knocks with Mathew's factory strings? I replaced my center serving today with
.018 #62 braided serving with the tag end running through the middle and after having to make soft knocks upper and lower to keep my arrow in the center of string my arrows shoot tighter groups and my arrow knocks are stay in my arrows. I never knew that the serving could make such a difference on my groups. I might change all my bows after this new experiences of hitting the center X with all three arrows at forty yards. I did have to retune the arrow rest a little but now its flying stright like a dart.Specialist Hawkins "Retired"

depends on how many strands and what material the string is made out of as well as the nock.Archerytalk, Helping Sponsors fleece novice Archers since 2001.

ive shot many mathews with the factory string and noticed the same thing with the nocks bein super tight on the serving but i think all zebra strings use that thick serving on their center point.u aint seen country yet!

For a short while they were using 0.025 with a tag... most of us were reserving with 0.021 ... They have fixed this last I heard and new strings are a better fit..Mike "Javi" Cooper
