Does anyone have any experience with the Gold Tip Velocity XT arrows?

No I am sorry I have not. But I am sure DB would say they are good arrows.

I have been shooting them for about a year. They fly good and are very tuff. I sunk one in a hardwood tree about 4" in diameter during hunting season. I was able to unscrew the arrow from the head and pull it out of the tree. I shoot that arrow to this day.

The 2 negatives I have found....

the nocks... HATE THEM! I switched to bohning pin nocks with GT pin bushings. I have since had no issues with them. FYI I have not had good luck with the GT pin nocks. I have not tried the new HD pin nocks.

    spine stiffness....
I would normaly be just on the light side of a 350 sized shaft. I choose the 300's over the 400's because I wanted the heavier arrow. I have had to go up to a 125gr screw in point to get the spine down.

i almost bought velocity but end up buy a regular gold tip arrow coz i just like all purpose arrow " hard hit and speed but just read McCain post talk about nock and they has short nock, so i think i'm go with regular GT in black or camo either..

Theyre not quite as durable as the regular XT and geared for speed freaks trying to get more fps.

    Default They are hot!

Wow . . . I shot them last night and I can not believe the performance. It looks like they are flying about 10-15 yards farther then my XT's, when I shoot at 50+yards.

Thanks for all of the comments.

Default it's more in the nocks than the weight

Your'e right it's not the weight but the big difference is in the design of the nocks. I tested this by shooting one arrow with the velocity nock and the other arrow had the blazer dloop nock.

I'm gonna replace all my nocks now.
