OK , you get a new bow from a big dealer then..................you see this
So , I go to my local authorised dealer and order up a brand spankin' new bow. It comes in (on a Friday) and tickled pink. I look over the riser and finish is good to go. I go to a shoot the following Sunday and wife noticed the tips of the limbs are messed up (actually the clear coat on the limbs). Contacted local dealer and he took a pic and sent it to the manufacturer. The manufacturer sends back a message saying the damage was caused by my bow press when I put on the aftermarket strings and they would not warranty it. How can that be????? I use a Sure Loc X Press which does not come into contact with the tips of the limbs at all. Dealer not willing to cover it as he did not check it when it came in. I opened the box and took the bow out at the shop and we looked it over (except for the limb tips) but he never touched it.
So , what to do now? No one is willing to help.
Leaving names and brands out on purpose as not to cause bashing or ill will towards anyone. Things happen I know.
Also, for you guys that use the finger type of presses beware. Going by what the manufacturer said, if there is any damage at all to the tips, warranty will not cover it.
This is the top set of limbs and you can see that it is not even at all across the tips and, the bottom set only really has it on one side. The line you see on the lft edge of the left limb is a reflection only.

That is BS! I feel for you. Did you talk direct to the company or to the rep?Be good or be good at it.

That stinks! From things you hear with that company, the more the dealer stands up for you the better chance you have to get stuff covered.
It's getting to sound like a common theme with the finish problems from that company though.

I feel for ya, I thought I was the only one that had stupid stuff like that happen. I would call them back and tell them that you are a serious shooter ,that you know what you are doing and also bring up that this is the last bow you or all your friends will ever buy from them if they don't make good on it.Talk to the owner.HIGH COUNTRY SPEED PRO X10 "SPEED KILLS",HHA site,Carbon force Mayhem/Easton Fat Boy Arrows,Alpine quiver,TM hunter and Swhacker Broadheads.

Well, I have been patient and nice about the whole thing. Was really ready to just say heck with it and take it at what it is. Then , I was in class today and got a call from my dealer. Hoyt is sending out some new limbs!! When I noticed the limb damage, I even forgot to register the bow. They took care of that for me also.
Just one of the many reasons I shoot bows from this manufacturer!

Great to hear you are being taken care of. Good job Hoyt at backing your product. All manufacturers have problems......the good ones stand behind those problems.
