Hey everyone, i am sort of new to all this and would like to ask a question. I measured my draw length and it came out to be 26.5". I am purchasing a Hoyt Ultratec bow with a draw length of 27.5. Is this a big problem or not?
Thanks in advance!

If the cams are draw length specific it will be a problem especially if you add a D-Loop, find out if the bow takes draw length mods or if they are cam specific. If it DOES take mods or DLS cams make sure your Hoyt dealer has the correct cams or mods for your specific draw length and you should be fine. Also look on Hoyts website to see if that bow goes down to your DL as it may not.

A long draw length can cause all sorts of problems......but I would shoot it and see how it fits before I made to many changes.

Ultratecs came with either adjustable standard cam 1/2 and non adjustable spiral cam 1/2. if you got the spirals ou have to change the cams. depending on what size standard cam 1/2 (they came with a 2.5" drawrange)you might be able to just adjust them down with the module if the cam size is in that range.lots of guys shoot draw lenghts too ong OK, but for best results get the proper draw length.
You might not know what your correct draw is if you did it yourself, go to a pro shop and get checked.Archerytalk, Helping Sponsors fleece novice Archers since 2001.
