hunting for info
looking for ideas for fall deer hunting in MN. i shoot traditional bow, climbing trees not an option. only hunt public lands so far.

Keep the wind in your favor if you can. Make a few brush piles or fabricate a "natural" blind or something to hide behind downwind of the area you think they'll be traveling. I assume you'd like to be within 20 yards or so, so the travel "in" path, and scent control are priority. You can fool the eyes but not that blasted nose.FBSA Member

If your going to sit in a ground blind than I would be building them now so that the deer can get used to them by the time hunting season roles around. Also remove any groth inside the blind. I like to clear it down to dirt so you can move without making noise and also cut some shooting lanes.A good camo that blends and Total,TOTAL scent free,head to toe.Google earth topographs to find funnels,fencelines,bedding and feeding areas. Try to find places with intersecting trails,the more intersecting the better.
