    Default 3d archery advice

Ok i have been a member on here for about a year and have had a couple of threads but now i am just gonna come out and ask how to start up this 3d archery kick I am on. Ok I have a ton of questions about it but I will just start off with a few right now. Ok first off how do you get started shooting 3d tournments? What is the equipment I am required to have to start up. When do the tournments start up usually like what season. Is their any way to make a little cash doing is or just do it for the love of the sport?

To start, just find the 3D shoots in your area, or as far as you want to travel and go to them. Your local shop should have a shoot list or you can often times find them on the internet. Have you searched THIS sight for local shoots in your area?

There are all different classes available to shoot from at shoots, usually from Traditional to every new gadget on the market. If you have a bow, the registration booth can help you fit into a category.

I believe most places start up in spring time or late winter.

Most do it for the love of the sport and the fun of it... someone else will have to chime in the on the money making part, I don't know anything about that.

    good luck!!

When you get to a shoot don't be afraid to talk to people. Introduce yourself, let them know that you are new to 3D shooting. The only way I know of making alittle money is with side bets with your buddies.

Just remember you can't take targets home at the end of the day and EAT THEM well you can but that will be the easy bit

They are the 2 big 3D orginizations IBO is more north and ASA is more in the south and have slightly different rules. I am in the south but reading IBO rules they seem to make more sense to me and are more true to what 3D started out to be. ASA has become more emphasis on known yardage which is what Coach Bernie Sandusky staff shooter types prefer.
