Anyone selling a non Elite riser or Carbon Hoyt for over $900 isn't going to sell many.

The local Hoyt dealer sell's the carbon element for $ 1250 and the Matrix for not much less and has been selling them by the bushell, not sure if those are the bow's you were referring to as not going to sell for more than $900.
    FWIW.

Those are Carbon risers....the Matrix and Element are carbon and cost that much. The Elite risers are the Alpha, Contender and Vantage Elite and cost that much or more depending on your dealer.

The regular "hunting" risers like the Turbo and others are going to be under $900 every shop you go into....or you should go to another shop

    Talking Here's what I think !

Westy , it's your money and all I can say is to the Hoyt family as now brother Gator Eye will be your best buddy now , as he was a Mathews shooter also !

Isn't that the one with the 6 inch brace height , wouldn't be what a 30 inch draw length guy like myself would want !

Why??? Can't a 28.5" inch type guy enjoy 6"'s as well as for the money i'm down to my last few million so let the good times still roll!!!!!And I intend to still shoot my Mathews bows as I'm Ambidextrous

    Were so proud................

Yeah, charging more for target colors is the norm........but 150 is alittle high. I thought I paid a extra 50 for my all black hoyt

That's awesome. Hope you enjoy that thing....it will definitely be a bit faster then your Z7. Probably be more forgiving also even though the bh is shorter because it doesn't have that god awful Mathews grip on it and it's a good bit longer.

as for the finish price difference.....all non camo bows cost more. Not all shops here charge more or that much more for black but they are more and the regular target finishes are definitely more. Last time I paid attention to it they were $100-150 more. But I haven't bought a brand new one in a while...and I usually get a Hornet Deal when I do

Talking A little known fact !

Just remember that you pay more for painted bow only to have to beg someone to take it when you find the next great painted beauty !

I've brought all my painted bows used at some give away prices !

Why don't folks order camo , as at least that way , even a novice bowhunter will buy it ?

Much different experience then I have had.

Why doesn't everyone buy camo....because not everyone wants camo just like everyone doesn't want black. A novice bowhunter isn't buying a camo Vantage Elite or Contender Elite.

if you get a hoyt in a shinny black target version then they will charge $75 extra for any target color but if its just a matte black finish then they dont charge any extra.

Most archers here in my neck of the woods hunt , no beginner is going to buy a painted bow that's not dull black !

I used one of my painted bows for bowfishing , it's blue and black with no chrome . The other two , I will have to take them to the grave , as no one likes a used painted spot bow in the land of camo bows , as I was the only one shooting a painted bow at the last 3D I attended , out 44 shooters .

You have to give them away here , as most serious shooters will buy new only , as they'd start out with a camo bow first !

I understand all that....most guys bowhunt in EVERY neck of the woods....most guys buy camo in every neck of the woods. In my neck of the woods if you try and sell a bow PERIOD you have to give it away. That's why god had someone invent the internet. Hell the last 3D shoot I went to had 50 of so guys...I was the only one shooting FS. Go to an indoor shoot at the same club and it's not as bad but close....go 20-30 mins in any direction and its a different ballgame all together. But I have still never sold a bow to anyone local since the internet archery forums came along. Heck other then the new bows I got when I shot for Martin...In the past 10 years I have been the 1st person to shoot 2 of my target bows. I Pro Tech I bought through the custom shop from Hoyt the year spiral cams came out and a Katera XL I got that was a left over. I have probably owned 25 Hoyts since 1997...only a handful of them have been camo. Only 3 of them new.

Like I said....I haven't had trouble moving target color bows ever. TARGET BOWS....not the hunting bows guys buy in target colors. The Hoyt, Mathews and PSE target bows are VERY easy to sell.....

I know TONS of VERY serious target archers....The vast majority of them have no problem buying used bows.

You gave me alot of info here , as there seems to be a trend of everyone not shooting at the few shoots that are left here .

A finger shooter has little competion these days as almost everyone uses a released where theirs 90% of the shooters competing in the unlimited hunter class !

I like long axle to axle bows and would buy a camo target/ 3D /hunting bow used , but never a painted one again at any price !

I believe that if I had one bow with a backup of the exactly the same that I'd be better off than switching alot !

I had the chace to shoot with a finger shooter today in the comp!!!She's a real nice girl and a even better shot!!How do you use your fingers ?????It's awesome to watch her pull back a monster7 set at 56# with no realease, and then shoot the 11x at 35 yards WoW!!!!!Sarane is the best female shooter in our club at the moment and 1 of only 10 in the whole club
