    Default shoot schedules

how does your area advertize upcoming shoots? I have seen a buisness card with the dates, but to day i picked up some dates for this year and they were in a book. I thought this was great because they had directions to the clubs, rules and advertisments. plus places to write in your scores at each shoot.

I'm still trying to figure out the best way to do it to help my club out. Our club has a website with shoots listed but that isn't enough. I try to put announcements in the schedule here and on the state focused forums as well as AT. Last year there was an ad on craigslist but I think that resulted in more spam than shooters (the secretary never knew he had so many recently deceased, long lost relatives from africa and asia LOL). There are flyers posted in the local archery and outdoor type shops and we try hard to get the word out to the other clubs that we go and shoot at so they'll inform their members.

The most effective way is to put on GREAT shoots that are scheduled regularly (first weekend of the month for example) and the people that have shot before will go out of their way to find information about when they can shoot there next AND tell their friends about it.

Yeah Facebook pages don't do much to get new shooters coming but they do a good job of keeping people that already know informed. The worst thing about the FB pages are that when someone searches for archery in an area, they don't show up in the search (even worse now that Google has declared war on FB).

Here's an idea, they can post them on 3DShoots.com.

That's the place I find most of the shoots I go to.

I've learned that pleasing everyone is impossible, but pissing everyone off is a piece of cake.

One stop shopping sure would be nice. Although this site has most of the shoots in the area, we still have to rely on a couple of other sources to get them all.

It is really nice when they are all here, this is the site I recommend to people when looking for a shoot. Problem is I noticed a couple of clubs nearby have not posted schedule here maybe just haven't gotten around to it yet.
