    Default Good glue for fletchings

    I am trying to find out what is a good glue for doing my fletchings. Something i can pickup at a local hardware store...

    The best glue there is is by bob smith industries. If you have a hobby shop they should have it. maxi-cure . Of course this is my own opinion but, I have proved it time an time again

    I have used Tim's Goat Tuff for over 20 years and never lost a feather or vane either when competing or hunting. It sets up fast within minutes. You literally have to scrape off the existing feather or vane before it would fall off. The only thing you would have to purchase it from an archery store such as Lancaster Archery. It's totally worth the extra effort. You'll never use anything else.

    I usually buy the smallest tube of superglue I can find becahse I dont fletch very often and it usually dries up by the time I need it again

    Loctite 717 superglue it comes as a gel and it's easy to use will stick a **** to a blanket for sure!!!!

    what JC said. I buy superglue at Dollar General. two in a pack for 3-4 dollars. never had one come off. I have tried the gel type but dont like it.

    i use the bohning quantim xt glue but its expensive.

    Local hardwear store? One of the super glues or duco cement . what type of fletching and going on what type of arrow shaft? Older wood or aluminum duco, everything newer, super glue.

    i was using Goat Tuff lately i've been using Gorilla glue impact tough in the blue bottle seems to work as good as anything else i have used and x2 on keeping it in the fridge

    Don't forget to put it in the plastic bag first then just breath deeply Ahhhhh and now my problems have all goe away!!!!

    well i got some gorilla super glue and it holds great. But it does take a while to dry.. I dont know were to find the goat tuff glue. I know a guy that also uses the same stuff.. i guess for now i will just use up the gorilla glue... But thanks for all the help..
