    Default The perfect hunting vane

The question is what would you consider to be the perfect vane design and why! (The more info the better)

Blazer's suck. Between clearance issue's, people putting holes in them cause they stick out so far and down to just a pain in the butt getting them to stick properly to the shaft they aren't worth my time.

I ve been using fletch flex vanes for awhile now, they stick real well, clearance is never a issue as long as the bow if tuned, and they steer a broadhead just as straight as any of the gimmick fletchings out there.

Now that you have what appears to be a few biased opinions I'll give you mine.

If there were a perfect hunting vane there would be nothing to debate here because it would be the only one on the market. All others would have been discontinued.

If you made me pick one, it would be 3" feathers, in a 4 fletch pattern.
If your gonna be a stickler and only alow plastic, then 3" Vanes, in a 4 fletch pattern.
Even Blazers have more clearance in a 4 fletch pattern.
A 3"/4 fletch has all the steering that a 4"/3 fletch has, plus cable clearance.
Vanes are quieter and weatherproof, but feathers have are lighter and grab more air. I don't hunt in the rain.
