    Default Nilla "good beginners bow"

If the draw lenth fits you fairly close and you can draw it back without difficulty it's a good beginners bow. I would suggest you get with a shop or clup to help dial in the draw lenth and weight, arrows, etc, etc.
You got to type more than just a title bro. We all started somewhere.

Speaking of clubs, do you know of any in Southern California?

I'm in Massachusetts, sorry I can't help with a Cal club. Go up to the top of the page and in smaller print look for "find archery shoots near you" (in the green bar). Try a search by zip-code and you might come up with a few.
