October mini rut
Ever herd of the october mini rut. Well I got to see it in action this morning(10/11/12). I've been seeing a very mature 8 point following one of our old doe around or property the last couple of days. This morning he had her in the middle of our field breeding her. I've seen deer act like they were in full rut, but I've never seen this so I thought I would share and see how many of ya'll have seen activity like this, this early in the season.Apparently "i'm sorry" and "my bad" mean the same thing, except at a funeral.

That's a new one on me too.
I ve seen alot of the 1.5 year old chasing but never seen a doe stand this time of year.
A fawn born a month early in Michigan would probably freeze to death the day it was born.
