    Curious to see what the average poundage is set at?

    Hunting bow is set at 60 and the target bow is set at 52.

    Talking A little known fact !

    Speedbow , Hoyt Alphatec with master cams ( 70lb limbs ) is set at 65lbs. , arrows do 282 fps

    Papershooting bow , a Hoyt Protec ( 60lb. limbs ) is set at 54 lbs.

    My famous deer slaying Jennings Buckmaster ( 60 lb. limbs ) set at 54lbs.

    other hunting bows of mine are ;

    Reflex Caribou (60lb. limbs ) is set at 54 lbs

    Hoyt Accutec ( 70 lb. Limbs ) is set at 62 lbs.

    My carpshooting bowfishing Martin bow (50lb. limbs ) is set at 45lbs.


    The above are all compound bows

    Now you know and you are !

    Spots 3d or hunting 55 lbs,use to think i neaded 70 lbs till trying to bow hunt in below zero weather and couldnt pull the poundage..............i shoot a hole lot better groups now to..................

    indoor bow at 50 lbs. target and 3D bow at 59 lbs. hunting bow at 60 lbs.

    Mathews Reezen @ 68 lbs. Hunting Beman ICS 400 arrow.
    Mathews Creed @ 60 lbs. 3-D and target set up Easton Fatboy 400.
    Zona' Longbow @ 45 lbs. just to fun not to shoot it. Cedar 50/55 11/16 shafts.

    Due to massive muscle loss a few years back I've had to back things down (long story). Anyway my target/3D bow is set for 44# shooting a 275 gr arrow. I quit hunting five years ago, but I can now, after a long recovery, draw and shoot 50# with confidence so if I hunted that's what I'd shoot.

    70lbs on my element, shopping for a target bow right now and going to set it at 60lbs.

    Thanks, I did and still deciding on what bow I'm going to get for target?? I really like the looks and reviews on the Matthew's Chill. Just want to try it before I buy.

    My target bow is set at 59.8lbs...

    My hunting bow is usually in the 60-63lb range.

    When did the Alpha Tec become a speed bow carp shooter. Lol

    Well it was the first tec riser bow and that riser has more medal than a light cruiser ! .................................................................................................

    It's my speed bow and that's all I got to write about that !

    I use a Diamond Razor strictly for carp and the peak weight is around 45#, I get good penitration at that weight and not many pass throughs on the small carp here at lake Elsinore.
    When I was still bowhunting my P.S.E citation serial #194 was set at 60# and yeah I've still got the old beast most the time it sits in its bow case, but every once in awhile I'll drag it out and crank it up just to kill a few carp

    70 outdoor 3d and hunting and usually turn it down to 62 for my indoor league
