All over from there....
A buddy gave me his old bow when he upgraded, set me up and took me to a shoot. I have been a basket case for over 20 years now thanks to that.

Well I got started by my cousins. They got me shooting re-curve when I was 14 years old. I stopped shooting for quite some time. Then 24 years later my son ask me to get into it. Now I own a String biz and we support all of you.

My reason for getting into Archery.
Back in the late 80's some of my friends and I was at hunting camp during the gun season. Well we where all sitting around the camp firer that I recall and one of them spoke out about how much fun this would be if the season was longer an another spoke up that it would be if we'd all start hunting in the Archery season and we could enjoy our camp earlier in the October season. So now most of us are still hunting with archery gear and few of us even chase the ASA,IBO, and NFAA indoor tournaments. Life at full draw is so wonderful and the people you meet at a lot of these places are just as passionate about it as me. Truly blessed with the joy that archery still gives me.Specialist Hawkins "Retired"

I have a lot of friends who always shotgun hunted deer. I have always been the kind of person to try everything the hard way. So I picked up a bow and as they shot deer year after year I continued to only bow hunt not shooting anything. Finally this year, which was year 5 with no deer and hundreds of hours in a stand I finally got a crack at my first deer. A small 6 pointer but I didn't care I was on top of the world! Got 3 deer this year and had a freezer full of meat. I was definitely fat and happy. I will be a bow hunter for the rest of my life. I would say that bow hunters are a special breed.
