Turkey day and I hunted am and pm instead of filling my belly. Mistake. Cold and windy this am, just cold pm. Tomorrow am is supposed to be about 23-25. No wind though. This is it for bow here. Dec 2, the orange army is out.

Finally scored on a deer Thanksgiving morning...2 reasons you cant see a picture...

    1. Shot with the .308

    2. I shoot does in the head and from the front if I can...(it was not pretty) No meat wasted though.
I cut things up and split them down!

I've had the opportunity to take 20 yards or less shots, but at small ones (one you could still see where it's white spots were). I'm not picky as long as it's a grown-up deer. I just haven't had any luck getting one within bow range.

Can't do it. I just can't. Has to be a grown-up deer. I know anything is legal but I cannot do it. Everybody has their limitations and I won't pass judgement on others who feel different than me. I have taken yearlings in the past just so you all know, but I find it hard to do now. Season is not over for me, not giving up yet.

SG ends tomorrow thank god. Gets rid of 50% of the hunters. Looking forward to a ML on my back and bow in hands for the rest of the month. I still got a chance. During SG I don't want to venture around much for fear of pushing deer off the property I hunt. ML/Bow till end of the year now. (after tomorrow). Snow storm coming too.
