    Default Shooting sitting down

I have been practicing sitting down shooting in preparation for shooting in a blind. I noticed my shot placement is high. Can someone explain what I maybe doing wrong with my form.

My thoughts would be that you are slouching while sitting, allowing release arm to pull further from standing anchor point. When you execute a release this way your body wants to send it high. At least that's what my problem was.

Thanks. I will be more aware of this on my next go at it. It is a great point, something that I can correct. I will let you know after Sundays practice. thank you again.

I've never shot from a blind so my advice should be taken lightly. I would think I'd rather shoot from my knees, posture is better, or more like standing. Is that do-able in a blind?

Anything different about shooting sitting with traditional gear vs a compound? I would think you need to watch out for all the same things.

I'm like Red44. never hunted from a bind but I would think on your knees would be best. and you could be praying for a big buck to come by.

    LOL.
I've practiced from my knees for using a natural brush blind. I'd think it would be very different from sitting unless you use a swivel stool. In either case, practice from what you plan to use. If your an on the ground sitter, practice it, of your a treestand hunter, practice it.

Just that different muscle are in play sitting vs standing. If you plan on shooting from a blind, and the groups are good, adjust your site to bring those groups to where your hitting
