    After 5 years of patiently waiting, missing a few shots, it finally happened this season. With the doe, an 11 yd shot.

    Then a few weeks later got the buck.

    Thanks the freezer is full, the doe I gave to a woman I know who due to cancer can't hunt anymore. The buck yielded plenty for the freezer. I have one daughter who will eat venison, my youngest grandson will only eat the sticks, lol. So it will last quite a while. No one else will even try it, their loss lol.

    That's really great of you to give your venison to a friend in need. Truely genuine of you Beats trying to stuff a freezer and risk wasting the meat. I enjoy eating venison, but I'll have to side with your grandson--venison sticks are top notch!
