what year is your mines a 99.....and no I dont want your window......what kinda fuel millage you get w/yours.....I reset my gauges before I left.....

filled up, w/atv in the back.....cruise set on 73.....all the way up and all the way back.....got 14.7mpg.......I only normally average 14.5 around town....so the added weight and the highway....i was pretty happy.....its like 130 miles one way.....and I did not need any fuel.....and i still have a 1/4 of a tank.....

wow...that really is pretty good mileage....mine is a 98, it has the 318 motor/auto tranny and usually averages 13-14 mpg, i think the best ive ever gotten was around 14.3 or so, but its been a really good truck so far...

yeah id say you did real good getting 14.7, if i tried that with a 4-wheeler at 73 mph, itd probably be more like 11.7 what really helps my mileage is that i do most of my driving going back and forth from college, and once i get home, its a 15 minute drive to any town, so its almost all highway driving.

do you have the instrument panel above the rear view that tells you temp, eco miles, mpg right now, miles on this trip.......etc.....

that thing is great but it becomes a real pain in the rump....

2 years ago I drug my landscape trailer all the way up there w/2 atvs on it and only got 6 miles to the gallon average.....and I was constently checking it....I finally just turned it off it was depressing me so

I usally have a cap on my dakota but wated to see if I could get any better milage w/the atv in the back.....

So i got better millage but now I need a window.....

yeah it has that thing up there that tells you direction and temp, and you can change it to tell you fuel economy, etc....i dont think mine is all that accurate (at least i hope it isnt ) i get much better numbers by figuring the mileage myself...

That one that measures the mileage instantaneously is depressing, going down big hills it gets almost up to 30 mpg, then going up big hills it goes to like 8-10 mpg, thats when i turn it off
