Default Rinehart responds to the ASA Rumors

First, I thank you for the privilege of providing ASA with targets for the 5 years. The innovation of the patented insert along with easy pull foam is well received by archers all around the world. But most important, your input for target development inspired me to make Archery more fun.

For 5 years, the cost of providing targets has come at great expense.

#1) $250,000 cash sponsorship paid directly to Mike Tyrell.

#2) The cost of Targets, delivery, and personnel has reached $500,000 for 5 years.

Rinehart 3D Targets has supported the ASA with cash and targets totaling $750,000

I am sure you now realize the dedication Rineharts has provided to help support and make the ASA a successful organization for the promotion of Archery.

In the future this expense is prohibitive for Rinehart 3D Targets to continue to offer the use of 260 targets for ASA.

Respectfully, Rinehart 3D Targets requested an $8.00 target fee for each shooter. This fee would only cover the manufacturing and delivery expense and no profit for Rinehart 3D Targets. The fee would allow Rinehart 3D Targets to continue the high level of service that all ASA Shooters have come to expect.

I regret to report, Mike Tyrell turned down this offer and negotiations for supplying ASA targets are terminated as of 2004 ASA World.

I thank the thousands of ASA shooters I have met over 5 years and I personally will continue to support the success of ASA.

    Cordially,

    John Rinehart

This would be a huge disappointment for many if Rinehart leaves the ASA. I can fully understand Rinehart's decision. Ever since Rinehart joined the ASA, people have been very pleased. I for one am pro Rinehart. I hope they can work things out.
