I have the same plan, except I don't plan on killing myself on what I eat. I am going on summer break starting next wednesday, that's when it starts. My plan is to move more. Do a little jogging, weight training and just watch what I eat. Really the key is to burn more calories then you take in. I don't plan on watching everything I eat, but trying to eat smaller portions and not snack on the junk as much. My goal is to lose 15-25 pounds and go down a pants size to a 34 by the time school is back in session. I am going to try and keep it simple so hopefully this will become a way of life. I think I've got my wife on the bandwagon so this will help. After two kids she is ready to get back in shape. The only problem might be our new neighbors. I can't walk outside without him throwing a beer at me.

The big thing is make sure you eat something in the AM, after a night of not eating you need something to keep your body from going into starvation mode. Try a bowl of cereal or Oatmeal or somethin

Also midmorning and mid afternoon snacks are important. Go with some Yogurt or Cottage Cheese.

Default Ok since Wheels did I will too!

I started my change of eating back 4-3-06 and weighed 236. Went on Nutrisystem which I'm still doing but not at dinner as much now since we eat out before we go to our shoots twice a week. I have to get back on the program for sure. I go to Curves which is my resistance training and that has helped alot for my archery too actually besides loosing inches.

I'm weighing in at 208 right now ...was down to about 204 but at least I have stayed pretty down. Just those 28lbs makes a biiiiggggg difference for sure. My clothes fit a tremendous amount better and my ankles aren't swelling up like they used to. I have one of those really nice Bowflex Treadclimbers which makes you sweat alot...just got to get on the dang thing more.

I'm glad you folks are getting into being more healthy....hate to see any of you nice folks have a stroke or something just cus we can't keep our hands from our mouths...

    My chicken parm sandwhich agrees!

remove fat and skin from a boneless chicken breast of medium size, grill it up with no seasoning or sauce

thinly slice and nuke for a minute

heat up a small amount of sauce add a very little amount of cheese and then the sauce.

forget the bun / bread. peel off some large pieces of lettuce and use it as the bun.

its pretty good. I threw in a little bit of Garlic Pepper seasoning and its darn good! Works well with burgers too. figure each piece of bread is 150+ calories (120 if you go with whole wheat) and loads of carbs so by not putting your sandwhich on 2 slices of bread you save yourself 300 calories

My husband won't go hunting with me-he is afraid he would become the hunted!!! I go hunting with two guys from my archery club and I'm the one they send up into the stands to tighten straps and stuff. I'm afraid they will have a heart attack or something. I've been asking them to get in shape.

Anyway, I lost 90 pounds and have maintained it for over a year. My reward is nice-fitting clothing. But now I can't find hunting clothing that fits unless I wear boy sizes...

I'm getting a belly ring and a tattoo I will tell my husband AFTER I get them (he hates stuff like that but I'm sure he will like what I'm getting, where I'm getting it).

You have to remember a few things:
Take it slow! You did not gain the weight overnight-you will not lose it overnight!!!

Don't beat yourself up if you slip up every now and again! Bad habits are hard to unlearn, give yourself time!!!!!!

Reward yourself with non-food items! You have to break the cycle! This was the biggie for me...My husband gave me special "treats" and "favors" and that worked for me!

Pace yourself when you exercise-you have to build up your stamina slowly!

    You can do it!

I think I've lost about 2 pounds now but I've dropped over an inch off my waist

I'm down to working out 3 days a week, 5 days wasn't working and I kept missing days, 3 days I can do.
