    Default Bow Choices

    Hello All,

I am just now getting into archery and think I have narrowed my bow search down. I will be hunting small game and target shooting.

Could someone please give me your thoughts on the following bows?

    2007 Fred Bear Element
    2007 PSE Bruin NP

Any thoughts, pros, cons would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Eddie

I have not seen or shot either of these bows. I did however own a Jennings a couple years ago which is owned by the same company that Bear. Escalade Sports is not an archery powerhouse by any means. You would definitely get better customer service from PSE. If that is important to you, you might consider that.

From what I have read, the Bear is a nice shooter. I've never seen any reviews on the Pse Bruin.....

If you are on a budget, set your price limit and shoot as many bows in that range that you can get your hands on.
The most importany thing is to shoot as many different bows as you can and see what really fits and feels the best.

    Default Bear & Pse!

The Pse brute is a much better bow than the Element!
But your talkin $100 dollar difference in them.
If you want to compare apples to apples for the price,The Bear Instinct & the brute!
I shoot PSE but they are sometimes Pricey on the low end bows.
The Bear Instinct is more for your money!
And that was hard for me to say!
    Both bows priced at $399
If you deside to step it up a notch in price the Mossy oak X by PSE IM gettin one, Great shooter! $599

I would say go and shoot both bows. The best bow that I ever owned was a 2004 Hoyt Ultramag. It was my first bow and I could out shoot everyone of my friends. I had some great teachers, but the bow was doing most of the business. They were all shooting bows that were 150-250 bucks more than mine. That Ultramag just fit my hand and balanced perfect. I would not have known this unless I went and shot all the bows that I was interested in. Good luck on your choice and have fun.
