    Default Anyone shooting Victory arrows?

Been a Gold Tip shooter since 1998....taken em to Germany, Kosovo, Iraq (2X), Afganistan and other odd ball countries, great arrow but the "buzz" with these Victory Arrows got me wondering if I am missing something.

I have not bought them yet, but I will. Jim Posten was shooting them with me last week, and I found them to be a very tough arrow, under the conditions Jim was giving them.

If I did not have a new dozen Blackhawk shafts sitting here, I would have already ordered them.

I just bought a dozen and set up 5 to try out.

I shot about a 15 shots so far. Unfortunately I hurt my tricep working out so I haven't shot in a few days.

My limited experience is that I like them.

Heard some very positive buzz this weekend at the shoot I was at... I'll definitely be doing some investigation into them before I place my next order for 3d arrows.

I think JCMORGAN shoots them also. I cannot find anyone around here that has them.

I know Dredly was looking into shooting them, he could probably give you some good insight into them... but since the AT stuff is not over, he's not talking to us.

Maybe I'm wrong, but isn't Victory like a spin off of Gold Tip? I thought I read a Q&A on their web page that said they once made GT?

I am very fond of gold tip arrows. The factory nocks suck but I thing their shafts are tougher than hell. I just bow hunt and piddle around in the yard, so I can't speak for the fancy target shooters and their super long stabilizers and hot pink risers with smoke chromes limbs, but they are a good arrow for me.

I tried to get some pricing on Victory arrows and they said I needed to email them to get prices.

From what I heard, they made gold tip before gold tip moved production out of the states. They also made/make arrows for several other companies. They decided to make a higher quality arrow, up to higher standards, and market them themselves.

This is how I understood the story directly form Bart Lawhorn The GM of Victory Arrows Inc.

there is a large thread talking about them on "the other" forum.

I think they both work out of Mexico, they were making them for Goldtip but goldtip moved to another facility in Mexico over $$$ or something.

It's just F*****g tragic we can't get a good arrow actually made in th e USA. It's cheaper to make them in Mexico, but they sure don't drop the price to us. And they get to spill TCE and pollute there without worry.
I would buy American, if I could.

No crap, what a slap in the balls. If you pick up and move to mexico because you can cut your costs in half or more, how about passing on at least a little of those savings/a.k.a. company profit onto your customers? Huh...come on...why not? Bastages!

Don't get too upset about them not being made in the US. Nothing you can do about it. You can say "I'll only buy american made products for my bow". Well, I know someone that is they main buyer for a huge archery distributor. He says 85% of all archery products are made outside the US.

I didn't read the story about these guys on the "other" forum.

    Here is what I've heard.
They used to make arrows for Goldtip and others and are now producing their own arrows.

What is so special about them? Are they supposed to be straighter, better spine consistancy, what is the deal?
