Thumbs down Went out to my "spot" yesterday

and I couldn't even get within 5 miles of it because the area (road leading up to it) is just covered with Belton Lake. I saw 1st hand what all this rain we have gotten over the past 5 weeks has done. The creek leading up to the lake which runs parallel to the road I use to get to my spot was about 35 feet up and covering the road and a 1/4 of the adjoining hill.

I have to get out QUICK and do some more scouting this coming weekend to find some new spots.

Needless to say the deer are safe from ANY hunters in that area. Too bad they have a rule that you can't access the property with canoe/boat for the purpose of hunting.

lol, Fort Hood rules state no access of hunting ground by floatation device at all. If I could, I'd have a little John Boat ready!!

Sounds like you need to learn how to swim with all your gear!
