I am not good at scoring deer. My friends and I are guessing mid 140's but we're not really sure. Could score higher, could score lower.

Yeah it was thumpin. I actually have pictures of him from this year and last year on my trail cameras. I saw him once last year but it was too dark and he was 60 yards away in an alfalfa field. I had two close encounters on some mounters last year that I could not seal the deal on, so my heart was mainly thumpin to get the monkey off my back and be able to seal the deal. It seemed surreal watching him walking down the path that would lead to a 23 yard wide open shot. I had a little target panic with him, I got the pin locked solid but it was 6 inches below him. It took a lot of composure to calm down and get the pin where I wanted it. I did jerk the release a little bit and hit him a little high and little farther back then I wanted but it was still a double lung hit. The rage did it's job. I was kind of surprised there was not a great blood trail, but he was hauling the mail after the shot and the shot was high. The shot was a complete pass thru. I actually shot the doe 30 minutes before I shot him. I watched her go down so I kept on hunting.

I apoligize I left my digital camera in my brief case and all I had was my cell phone. I didn't relize there was any build up in the other post. Sorry to let you down. But it is meat in the freezer. If I can get the big boy out there you will see him in more than just this forum. Later
