    Default Is this a good bow vise

    I found it for 19.95 plus $9 shipping I was thinking about ordering one.

    I use the same one - only complaint is the knob to tighten would be faster if it was a triange or quad shaped, but if works well...

    I have one that is similar. I like it, however.

    1. The t-knobs are too small and when you use enough pressure to tighten enough to hold the bow securely, it hurts. I replaced mine with hex head cap screws and use a allan wrench to tighten.

    2. The only thing clamping the bow are the two rods by the black knob. The bow limb just rests against the top part and will lift off sometimes when working on your bow.

    3. Buy a threaded rod that will screw into your riser where the stabilizer goes. Put a nut on the rod and screw it into the riser and tighten the nut against the riser. Slip the rod into the clamp body and tighten. You can then work on your bow from both sides without removing it from the clamp.

    It works good for me.
