When looking at aluminum arrows, the 2413 type designation describes OD and wall thickness. For instance, the arrow shown above is 24/64 OD and the wall thickness is 0.013".
Carbon arrows do not follow this designatiion so you will need to look up the specs.
As for chosing an arrow, be sure to use the recommended arrow charts from each manufacturer. Arrow "spine" or stiffness is crucial to getting arrows to fly correctly. Too stiff or too weak will cause flight problems.
