Default Buck Activity

Well bow hunters, what have you noticed about the bucks in Northern Illinois? I have noticed and increased movement in Mchenry County starting November 5th. In two days we saw 5 different bucks milling around in the daylight hours. (morning) One of which came right in to a grunt and was harvested about 5 yards from the tree. Saw two other mounters on the 5th. I saw a good one in Winnebago County last night around 4:15 PM working a scrape and spreading scent all over the trees. After that, a smaller buck came out and the big guy was not disturbed with another buck around. Haven't seen to many does lately, do the big boys have them rounded up or haven't they started coming into estrus yet? Hope the later cause I am off next week.

Default Bucks

What the heck you guys haven't been seeing any bucks? How long do you think crazy time will last, I would consider the bucks to be crazy already.

I've seen a few nice ones. Wednesday I saw a nice 10 come down a hill and then into a creek and looked like he was going to come to me. Then he just walked down the middle of the creek and then back out the other side. I grunted and he stoped but then nothing else came of that. At around 4:30 the same evening I just say a huge rack. Not sure how many points cause he was gone as fast as I say him.

Gonna try again all day Saturday.

Here is one that got hit by a car just 2 weeks ago right by work. And I was planning to hunt the little patch of woods over here. A little too late.
