Thanks for the kind words. We try. Actually, we start planning next year's shoot on the Saturday presently being shot. What I mean is, that all the planning and stuff goes on for a year.
If you've ever set up a course you can imagine how much work this thing is, what with our ages and the terrain we're dealing with. Still, it's one of those things most of us look forward to for many months. But we're sure glad when it's over with.
I'm a member of Big Buck Archers, one of the hosting clubs. We're not a large club, having right at 100 members, give or take a couple. We are blessed to have a fairly dedicated bunch and can usually expect about 35-40 members to help with all the work. Some set up, some tear down. Others monitor courses. Some do it all and are there all weekend (3 days). Most of us drive about 40-50 miles each day each way with no compensation except the kind words of many who attend. For this we are always greatful.
