Where to start?

I've hunted for years but I want to start 3D shooting, but I don't have a clue where to start. I need some help on equip. rules and where to go to get started. Any info will be of great help. Thanks

welcome. First of all try to find a local club that holds 3-D's. Most clubs have the same set of rules and should be able to tell you what they are.Most score the targets 12,10,8,5. The 12 being the smallest ring. If you tell the club what type of equiptment you are using, they will help put you in the proper class. As far as equiptment, you can use what you hunt with. If you are looking for more of a pure 3-D set up, that may be a little different from what you are using. It all depends on what you are looking for.(speed, forgivness,ect.) Hope some of this helps. Most clubs seem to follow IBO rules or a very close variation. Their web site is http://www.ibo.net . Check out the rules on this site. It should help you out.
