I live in Ft Wayne and just started 3D shooting. Twice last year and almost every Sunday this year.They have 2 local shoots in town,Southwest Conservation Club and Izzak Walton League.Yesterday I went to Bass and Bucks in Wabash and it was awesome!40 targets for $10.00.I shot at a velociraptor and lots of other Rinehart targets and they are great!It takes NO effort to pull the arrow out!Very easy to tell Rinehart from every other target.Definately gonna shoot the Rinehart 100 there Sept. 3,4,and 5th!That looks really fun I can't wait!

I shoot the cree lake conservation club north of Kendallville and Burlews up in Mongo. So I have a shoot every weekend close to home, makes it nice.

Southwest Conservation Club? Never heard of that one. Does SCC put on a good shoot. Izaaks up in Leo, I was told is really nice shoot. My wifes cuzin took 3rd in open class, at the last shoot there.(may 29 th I think). I was going to shoot Bass&Buck State championship and world qualifier that same weekend. But had family visiting. So I am goin to Bloomville, OH to a world qualifier at the end of this month.

What class do you shoot, Hunter MBR or Open?

I'm kinda new but I think hunter.I don't usually keep score I just like to shoot.My 7 year old son and I go just for fun.SCC is 20 targets for $6 and was good for me just beginning plus with my son its short.IWL is better than SCC but not as good as B&B.I'm just happy to not lose or bend arrows.(yes I still shoot aluminum).Are you gonna shoot the R100?

R100 yes think I will.

I have twin 9 year old boys and sometimes the 40 target ones get a little long for them too.

Nothing wrong with Alum. arrows. They all kill.

Do your sons shoot with sights?My son is just starting so I'm trying to get him to shoot without sights to begin.Since I'm not sure how to I'm having a hard time trying to explain it to him.What kind of bow do they shoot?

My boys use 3 pin sight,peep on string, and fork rest. They shoot Parker compounds.
Parker makes a really nice compound for kids, camo, 20 to 30 lbs, 18 to 28 draw length which you can adjust with out taking it to a proshop. Plus when they grow out of 30lbs. For 50$ they will put 40lbs limbs on it for you. But they were $190, Bow,sight,rest,side mount arrow quiver, and 3 carbon arrows.

Not a bad deal.

That's not to bad at all.Did you get that around here?Do they set it up ready to shoot for that price?I'm not sure what his draw weight or length is.

My Pro Shop is in Flint, Indiana up near Angola. "A Shot in the Dark" Carl the owner is a great guy. And yes he sets it all up for you. He sat with each of my boys and went through the bow with them. Setup draw length and lbs,D loop on the string, basic sight settings, etc... and some test shots. He treats you right. My boys are only 9 but they really like Carl and only go to him for there stuff.

If ever make it up there tell him Matt Lennon sent you. Go up I69 to 20, west(left turn) on 20, go past the airport, you go up and down a couple big hills. Look for a sign on the left for "A Shot in the Dark" with a guy holding a bow and arrow, on the right side is a sign for flint gun shop. Turn right(north) on that road, go about 1 1/2 miles. They are on the left, they have a stop light sign that flashes through red-green-yellow. When they are open. They have evening hours 3 to 7 closed wednesdays. open on sat and sun

I live in Lapel In, (25m N of Indy) and go to Girts Archery in Anderson, In.

I just bought my first bow today, and found Girts experts very knowlegable. They also have two traditional ranges and a 3D range there.
