Bino holder warning...
You know the one's made by Crooked Creek, Cabelas, etc... The one's that have the elastic bands that go over your shoulders w/ the clips to hold the bino's.
Well here's the warning...
When you are climbing out of your treestand, be advised to double check that your bino strap holding apparatus is free from the stand. Failure to do so will result in an exponentialy increasing amount of force being built up in the elastic strap as you are lowering yourself from the treestand, utimately coming free from the treestand, smacking you clean in the mouth at a high rate of speed.
Let me tell ya folks from experience, you don't want this to happen. It hurts like a having an overly large female truck driver mule kick you in the mouth. Not that I have ever had an overly large female truck driver mule kick me in the mouth, but I can imagine the pain, and have so kindly associated that type of pain with that of having a two pound chunk of metal, plastic/rubber and glass(your bino) smacking you squarely in the mouth.
and be safe with your binos

Ouch is right. My buddy has his grunt tube come up and whip him in the face when it got caught on his cables when shooting at a deer. Almost knocked him out of the stand. He missed the deer by a bunch and had a bloody nose to show for it!

Also, if you do not have one the Crooked Horn type bino systems and just have a regular neck strap on your binos, do not draw and the bend at the waist to shoot. The binos will get caught in your bowstring when you shoot and jerk you out of the tree. Might be like getting thrown outa the tree by a overly large female truck driver.
My brother did this about 20 years ago.

Well I've never been hit in the face with my binos, but I have experienced an overly large female truck driver mule kick me in the mouth. I'm pretty sure it is the second most painful thing next to child birth.
Thanks for the warning. I have a bino system and I'll have to remember that.
