Try asking her to not lock her elbow or seat the bowgrip so far into her palm. With some practice it should come easy AND painless. Good Luck.

Tell her that pain is your bodies way of telling you to stop what your doing. How many shots did she take before she decided enough was enough. That looks like it hurts like H***. I myself would have quit at one, mostly because I'm a little girl when it comes to pain.

Umm like 1.5 HOURS!

She decided at the end of her lesson, on our way out through the sales-floor.

Tough chick, my wife is.

Akin to wearing a harness in a tree stand. But if you fall out of a tree you usually don't get a couple of nasty bruises... You might be dead like a local guy this past weekend. Name was Dennis, no harness, fell out of a stand, is dead now... Took his family 2 days to find him.

Wear those arm guards but especially wear those harnesses in the stand....

Default New Archer Blues

I call those "The New Archer Blues". Every new archer gets them. The guy at the Pro Shop made sure I got mine when he was setting up my bow. I guess he figured the bow would teach me how to hold it.

Default Beauty mark

Now thats a beauty! Im new to compound bows and the first time I shot my
PSE I made a 1" x 6" mark down my arm. I quickly learned to bend my elbow, and it has'nt happened since.

Good for her. Smacking your arm a few times is definately motivation to practice.

I had that problem until I shortened my draw length a little bit.

Hurts like the devil! I bet she just kinda wrinkled her nose and said "Nah, it's ok..." didn't she?

We archer gals don't like to look like a sissy!

Actually, the Principal (She teaches Special Ed.) called her into the office and asked her if "everything was okay at home?" and if "she wanted to talk", or "see a counselor"... Se said, "No, why would I???" the Principal said that couple of the teachers had mentioned the black & blues and though that they look like someone had been grabbing her by the arm and "man handling" her.

She said "Ohh no, I'm taking archery lessons!!!"

Pain is a great Instructor lol. I have not done this yet thankfully. I have been Shooting my Bow Tech, Diamond, The Rock for 4 months now and I think I got my form down so I dont have to worry about it. But My neighbor did this alot because his bow was set up with the wrong draw length, but since then he bought a new Deadzone and he hasnt done it since. Tell her to hang in there.
