I am 59 and I began a serious work out and walking plan about 14 months ago.
I lost 40 lbs, (from 260 to 220, then had a serious issue pop up (colon cancer) which took me off my plan for 2 months while I got over surgery. It's all gone now, cancer free!, praise God. I gained about 10 back while I was sitting around through most of hunting season. But I am back at it now.
I am shooting (pun intended) for 200 which is about right for me.
Anyone trying to lose weight, I am praying for you.

I lift weights 3 days a week, that's done more for me than anything else I do. I also have a punching bag setup, there is nothing like beating up a bag to get your heart going.
