Nice pictures Jag. I've never shot an R-100 yet, but I want to. I toured the Rinehart factory a few weeks ago, and couldn't believe how big some of those targets are! They were reparing those targets while we were there...that gargoile is scary.

i dont think you have enough room for it. if they have it in Tx again next year, you'll have to go and try it.. it was fun.

It is worth going to a R-100. There is no shoot quite like it. Great people and great fun. Cool pics JAG... Glad you guys had fun. It's really hard not to have fun at a R-100.
Looking forward to Wabash, IN already...

New to this site and wondering what is a R-100 shoot. Looking at the pics it looks like a lot of fun.

50 targets a day over 2 days but you can just shoot 1 day.
It's for fun and bragging rights, I guess.
The rules are simple. Hunter class, Open class, Traditional and a youngster class. Hunter shoots multiple fixed pins. Hunter gets a 50 point handicap 'bonus' or each day (not sure about traditional... ). Open is shoot what you bring. No bonus for Open class. Hunter and Open shoot from the same stake. Youngsters shoot from a closer stake, most likely that's the case with traditional as well. I didn't see any stick bows or recurves last year.
They have awsome, unusual targets. It's a ton of fun for sure. Great people and just a lot of fun to be had. Our Midwest group from 3D-Shoots went to one of them in Wabash, IN last August and we threw in a little camping and a bunch of great food to go with the shooting... We had a great time and we're going again this year.

Oh good rub it in. They won't be around here till mid June and I can't wait. Looks like you had a ball. Is the elephant a new target didn't see it last year? Saw a few I forgot about. Like to make a few of the big ones to slip them onto or course at our club. Bet that would blow some minds. Thanks for sharring the pics.
