Pictures from Metropolis, ASA Pro am
Weather was HOT and I really didnt take near as many pictures as normal. I was quite miserable for the most part. But certianly made the best of it and meet a got to see quite a few friends.
Well ran shoot as always.
Lots of rumors talked about.
Survey say no 14 next year from what ,ost said how they voted.
Classic may be coming to Illinois next year.
First pictures here were from the city shoot

As always, thanks DB for posting pictures!
I couldn't make the shoot and really appreciate you taking the time to post some pictures.
I hear Danny had the lead until the last arrow. I was glad to see a couple "red-shirts" in the shootdown. I'm looking forward to seeing Jame there next year!
It will be interesting to see how things change if they take the 14's out of play for all but the shootdown. It probably won't matter much to Levi, he is a MACHINE!

Danny Mcarthey went for the 14 ring. figured he would nail it. Actually the leads in the pro shoot downs changed several times. Same for the women. Good shoot downs.
Here Danny last arrow at the 14 ring.

I always find myself rooting for Levi. The way the top pros keep their cool w/ scores that tight is awesome.

So, I've never been to a shoot that big
How does the shoot down work? Are they all tied going into it?
How many shots does it take to decide the winner?
How far away was the target that Danny drove for the 14 and missed?
That is some awesome stuff DB.
who won the women's Pro?
Who Won the Men's?
Sorry if these are dumb questions.
Thanks
-Joe

They have five targets in the shoot down and they scores they had from the shoot is what they use. Anyone within 10points of the leader after the fifth arrow get to shoot a sixth target.
I think Danny shot was around 35 to 38yrds.
Samantha Morgan won the womens. She was second going into the shoot down.
Levi Morgan hit a 12 on his last target. Danny needed a 12 or 14 ring to win.
He went for the 14 ring, my quess would be its larger than the 12 ring.

Did everyone in the shoot down tie out on the main shoot? Or is it a formality for the pro division?

They could be tied going into the shoot down. They could be ied going inot the sixth arrow in the shoot down. Tey would shoot untell untell someone wins
But you take the score you have at the end of 40targets. Always done this way in ever shoot down.

Hmmm...
Not sure I understand what you are saying either DB.
OK, so everyone that is tied after 40 targets goes to the Shootdown?
or
The top 5 after 40 targets go to the Shootdown?

Wow..................I wonder what those bad boys weigh in at. I tried shooting 2512's once at Outlaw in a money known distance shoot. Unless you can compensate exactly don't even think about trying it.

How much does McCarthy's bow weigh these days? I see he's got 7 dawg wts on his side bar alone. He definitely likes a heavy bow.
