Fired up the Monster yesterday

Very nice bow


I was able to draw it back and let down fine without any issues but then again I shoot a lot also.

I think for the most part after shooting this for a while the folks that would be having problems are probably over-bowed meaning either a little long in the draw or pulling too much poundage and or a combination of the 2. You tend to see some of this when they are looking for bragging rights to the speed number.


The bow points well and so far when shooting out to 50 yards shows the ability to shoot tight groups.

My set-up consists of a 70 lb. Camo - Monster set at 67 lbs.
Factory String and Cables
29.5” draw length
Specialty peep with 3/32 yellow clarifier
1 ¾” Specialty Pro-scope with a 4X lens mounted on a Sure-Loc sight bar
Mathews Down Force arrow Rest
Mathews Dead Stop string suppresser

With (4) 1.5 HP Vane Tec Vanes
90 Grain Glue in points actually a 80 grain point with the 10 grain screw in weight
Gold Tip pin Nock bushing

I don’t have any pictures close up but my arrow setups for 3D are

Gold Tip Triple Xs, 4 vanes per arrow and the size - Vane Tec HP 1.5s and Pin Nocks screaming at a even 300 fps. from a Apex 7

Gold Tip Pro 22s using 4 Vanes per arrow Tec HP 1.5s and Pin Nocks again, screaming along at a even 350 fps from a Monster

I like the Pin Nocks for protecting the back of my arrows it saves on maintenance and replacement cost, pin nocks are great but once in a while you still can take on some damage.

The Vane Tec Vanes being used are very rigid and can handle the high speed without laying back thus controlling the arrow better, as well as taking hits pretty well another thing I have had great luck with theses as far as fletching them up – very good glue bond as far as fletch to shaft adhesion.

Just something I use and depend on that works well for me.

With the limbs backed out a ¼ of turn to 67# - the actual draw length measured is 29 ¾”

Of course we know Chris White can shoot short axle bows.

I shot one the other day too.

I was very surprised at the draw, it was a lot smooother than I expected. It did build fast at the end but nothin that would knock your arrow off the rest.

I only shot it a few times as the draw length was long for me and I put the nicest rose color bruise on my fore arm.

Only down side for me....when is mathews going to get rid of the 2x4 handle.

Chris White could go out back, cut a twig, pull his show laces out, tie it to the twig and shoot 1400 with it.
