Conquest 4 Speeds

I am cuurently shooting a mathews prestige for my 3D bow with a 383 grain carbon express maxima 3D select arrows with a 28 inch draw lenghth. At 64 lbs it is shooting 283 fps. Im looking at getting a conquest 4 but people have told me it want be fast enough for me at 28 inches. I will be shooting carbon express line jammers which will be lighter but i still don't know if i will get 280 fps out of it. If anybody has any advice i would really appriciate it.

A C-4 will not come close to a Prestige for speed... apples and oranges First place at your draw length you will need the mini-max cam and it will drop the poundage 5-7 lbs so a 60 lb bow will only make 55lbs.. sure you can tweak a couple of more out of it by cheating the A2A but you lose cam performance at the same time. You'll be better off to stick with the Prestige.

That, and if you stay with those specs in a Conquest, you would have to shoot a CXL SS 150 with very little point weight if you plan to stay in the 280's

I did it last year... not a very consistent or forgiving arrow at all.

thanks for the response. i was talking to a guy today at a tournament and he was shooting a C4 at 28 inches shooting line jammers and he said he had 70 lb. limbs but with the mini max cam it brought it to 65 lbs. He said he was getting 283 fps. Would this work?

I am shooting a c-4 with mini max at 29 inches measured and about 66 lbs, and it is shooting 283 with a 362 grain arrow and it is an spec. So I would think you would have to shoot 65 lbs and a 340 grain arrow with a true 28 inch draw to be around 280.

Dont see how the one above is getting his speeds BUT...
Im shooting 64#, 348 grains, ddr-minimax and getting 281.

I shoot a C4 at 27" DL Mini-Cam @ 60lbs.W/70lbs limbs with Victory 350 HV-1 Xringers 300grs. and I'm getting 282 on our chronograph at our shop. Good luck.

thanks for all the help. My new arrows should weigh around 320 or 330 grains so i might try the C4 out at 65 lbs with mini-max cam.

Are you looking to get at least 280 fps? If that is the case, I believe you can achieve those speeds. You might be close to 5 grs. per pound though.
