topo maps

Hey Guys i have been trying to find a good web-site i can print or buy good topographic maps for free or cheap. Any ideas where to go?

We used to get all of ours from USCGS (United States Coast & Geodetic Survey) 1/4 MOA maps. 'Course you gotta have a 3' plotter to get the full effect of the document. Might look for aerial overlays in your area, or call a local surveyor and see if they know anything. I bet they now have discs of every area so you can plot out small sections of the topo as needed. I retired from surveying before that came out, though...

No topo maps, but good satellite maps free on Google maps.

They have a terrain feature, but it's not too good.

I Downloaded Google Earth For Free And It Works Great, Some Of The Data Is 4 Years Old Or So But It Works Good To Pre Scout Different Terrain....
