Default Adding weight to my riser

I'd like to add some weight to the lower portion of my 3D/field bows riser (Maxxis 35). Doinker make a small adapter with 2 different thread sizes on each end. Does anyone know if I could screw the one side of the adapter into one of the holes where the grub screws are to secure the string stopper and add weights to the other end of the adapter?
