I agree sometimes you need some help. The main thing is do not give up on trying to quit. You must want to quit completely. GOOD LUCK in the future. I understand how hard it is. I gave up chewing several times before actually quitting for good.

Even though I'm not a smoker, I (was) a chewer and dipper. It's been since Sept. since I've done either. I can't say I crave it but I do know it wouldn't take much to start again - especially when I head to the woods or am working outside. Hang in there, don't beat yourself up when you fall off the wagon. When you feel it's time to get back on it - you'll know.
Hang in there

Sad thing is there is no easy time. Hang in there. Jump back on. Dont let the wagon out run you.
Between Smoking and Dippin, I myself had a 25 year nicotine Habit. Hardest thing I ever gave up. been of the stuff 8-9 years now and still want to dip when I smell it. Had to give up the long neck bottles so I could quit smokin. they go hand in hand you know.
Also I tried several times, for several reasons. But when I said for myself enough is enough. Cold Turkey was the only way.
You have already started the road to recovery. your mind will get tired of the fight/guilt. and you will give it up. sooner or later.
You may be out of breath when you do but, You will be able to catch back up with the wagon. And........ Next time dont ride it. DRIVE IT !

I feel for you. I "quit" march 17 2009. I have fallen off the wagon a couple times myself. I have tried to quit several times over the years, and it is the hardest thing I have ever tried. The longer you go with out trying to quit again the harder it will be to catch that wagon. Don't give up you can do it. Don't think of it as quiting, just see how long you can go with out a cigarette for now. Replace your cigarettes with a bottle of water with a straw at 3-d may be that will help you get through.

I hadn't had a cigarette since 6/26/2000, I remember the day perfectly as I was driving my wife to the hospital for her scheduled C-Section to deliver our youngest daughter....
I was smoke free for just about 5 years, my downfall was hunkering down in a bunker while mortars were falling. I bummed on off a fellow troop.
I'm now 1 month and 1 day smoke free again.
I'm not saying "I quit".
I'm just saying I have not had a cigarette in 32 days.
Keep up the great work everybody and remember....
Rehab is for quitters

Take it one day at a time Tiff, you can do it, its a habit that is hard to break but can be done. I smoked for 23 years and quit smoking cold turkey 11 years ago this past new years day. good luck. just take it a day at a time

Everyone's different - don't get discouraged should you fall more than once.

That happens. Just remember there are many of us here and all around that have been there going through exactly what you are. I am not going to say that it is easy because we all know it is not. But I guarantee you can do it girl. When I done it I prayed a lot and kept asking God for the strength each and every day for over a month. Because I had quit before and had always started back. But this time it was different because I was not alone. If you feel like you just can't take it any longer then just pray. Thats all I know to do. Yeah they have drugs to help but I always trust in the one that created me. God bless and keep us informed.
