Looking for a Proshop in Oceanside California or something close to it

Hi guys, my son is stations in the Marines out in Oceanside CA and really wants to buy a bow and start shooting. He hasn't shot a bow since he was knee high to a grasshopper and has no idea what he wants or needs.
I really don't want to see go to a big a name shop like Bass Pro or Gander Mnt or something. I really want to see him go to a good pro shop so he can gets what he needs without getting 'big sell' shoved down his throat.
If you all have any suggestions I sure would appreciate your help.
